What is your greatest fitness achievement?
My greatest fitness achievement has been receiving 2nd place at 75kg at a USA powerlifting meet; but unofficially, my 275 lbs. Bench at 160 lbs. Also, my MSOA 2nd and 3rd place grappling medals- all of which I hope to turn to gold in upcoming events.
What motivates you?
I want to become the strongest. It’s a very simple motivation, but one that I can
always work towards achieving- until I get there. When I do, then I will be able to
work on the next thing; only being stronger. Along the way, I want to help others
achieve their goals. There is no greater joy than helping someone become who they
want to be.

How did you develop your program?
I take an individualized approach, studying the current scientific literature to best
understand how to effectively train all parts of the anatomy for the clients wanted
results. I stick to bread-and-butter lifts, while also using less traditional lifts that
may yield higher results. For example, if a client wants to run a faster one minute
mile, I would start by testing their mile time and then training their VO2 max with
ladder kettlebell swings (after appropriate VO2 max and heart rate response
testing is done) while implementing strength based lifting routines before testing
their mile run time again on a weekly basis.

What are your specialties?
I specialize more so in weightlifting and resistance routines than anything, but
through sports such as wrestling I have a very well-rounded approach and
understanding of cardio. This also comes in handy with my nutrition coaching,
where I can lead a client's eating habits (it is outside of my scope of practice to
prescribe exact dietary restrictions or plans) to better recover from workouts and
see the best results for their body.

What's your training style?
Like your best friend in the gym! Well, your best friend that makes you work. Hard.
I better see some REAL effort, or I’m ramping up the weight; and when you’re done,
I’ll give you a fist bump, a water bottle, and a short story to make you laugh.

How do you set & track goals for your clients?
I record their lifts and let them tell me what their specific goals are from what they
say, I work with them to achieve SMART goals that are Specific, measurable, achievable,
realistic, time-bound goals that we can make progress towards in real time.

Why will your services be worth it for clients?
I provide not only effective resistance training, but guidance for dietary habits that
will help clients achieve AND maintain fitness goals beyond my support in the gym;
additionally, my advice on lifting form and proper exercise will mean clients see real
results while learning how to lift safely and target the proper muscles.
