What's your story?
I was born and raised in Lexington, KY. I’ve been in Michigan since the fall of 2019. I’m 29 years old. I’ve been personal training/strength coaching since 2010. I started off training high school athletic teams. Over the years I’ve worked with junior high, high school, and collegiate athletic programs as well as worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I’ve trained all ages from 12-85, all of which had varying fitness levels. I played college soccer at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY.
I’m taking steps to work more in the film industry and have worked on a couple of movies (don’t worry, I’ll still be personal training). Some of my favorite movies are the live action Peter Pan, Stand By Me, and 10 Things I Hate About You. My friends tell me the TV characters I’m most like are a combination of April Ludgate (Parks and Rec) and Phoebe Buffay (Friends)- but my tv spirit animals are Ron Swanson (Parks and Rec) and Alexis Rose (Schitt’s Creek)- so basically, I’m super fun to be around.

What is your greatest fitness achievement?
I’d have to say being a 4 year collegiate athlete.
What motivates you?
My motivation for fitness is prevention and health. I want to live a long, healthy life with a properly functioning body. I want to avoid doctors, procedures, and medications. I want to stay mobile and strong. I want to do everything in my power to keep my body and mind working at their best for a very long time.
How did you develop your program?
I love programming! It’s one of my favorite things about training because I get to be creative. I believe in adapting to my clients’ needs, goals, preferences, and abilities. Therefore, I will develop programs based on what’s best for the client. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients from children to senior adults, as well as those with special needs. Some were athletes, some never exercised a day in their life. They all required something different. We’ll work together to design the right plan for you.
What are your specialties?
I’d consider myself a jack of all trades. As an instructor, I’ve taught Boot Camp, Kickboxing, Strength based classes, Rowing, Yoga, and Senior Fitness. I’ve trained a range of sports teams from archery to football. Like I mentioned earlier, I adapt to the client. If I had to pick a specialty, it’d be weight lifting/strength training. I especially love teaching the fundamentals of weight lifting to beginners. It’s amazing to watch people grow in strength as well as confidence. Something about feeling strong makes you feel good about yourself.
What's your training style?
Whatever the client requires is how we will train. For the majority of clients that I train, you’ll see circuits and supersets with a mix of strength and cardio exercises. I also enjoy using kettlebells in a lot of my sessions.
How do you set & track goals for your clients?
I talk to the client about what they want to achieve. We set small goals and I provide them with accountability. We can decide together exactly how to track. If you want to lose weight, we can track your weight or inches lost. If you want to get stronger, we’ll track your progress in the gym. There’s a lot of ways we can track progress and we’ll figure out what works best for you.
Why will your services be worth it for clients?
Not only will I assist you in achieving your fitness goals, but hopefully I can pass on knowledge about health and fitness you’ll be able to use for a lifetime. I’ll push you, but we’ll have fun getting you where you want to be.
