What's your story?
I am 21 years old and from Bay City with three brothers. I am enrolled at Central Michigan University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Health Fitness+Performance. I first got into fitness from playing football and running track. My passion for fitness eventually overtook the passion I had in sports.
What is your greatest fitness achievement?
- Benching 365 lbs weighing 185
- Being a part of the record-holding 4x200m relay team at my high school
What motivates you?
I’m blessed that my passion for fitness has led me to experiencing all the positive physical and mental impacts training has, which bleeds into every facet of life. This has motivated me to help others experience this and realize their own potential.
How did you develop your program?
I like to use a culmination of science, experience, and personal enjoyment to develop programs. Exercise Science itself is a subject that is always updating, and it is important to stay up to date on the latest research. Using science as the foundation and exercises that clients enjoy for programming is a great way to build sustainable progress.
What are your specialties?
My specialty is muscle-building/body composition and athletic development. This comes from my personal background and the goals of people I have trained previously.
What's your training style?
My training style is individualized, placing your goals at the forefront of the program. I also think it’s important to let the client know why we are doing certain things, so they can put in informed and intentional effort. Lastly, I listen to the individual, so we are on the same page. Stepping in or stepping back, when necessary.
How do you set & track goals for your clients?
I ask the client what their goals are and why they have chosen them. Clearly defined, measurable goals are the focus, so we are never just going through the motions together. As far as tracking, everything done in the weight room will be recorded and serve as a tool for the next workouts. This way we can ensure progress and know when to scale back or up.
Why will your services be worth it for clients?
My individualized training approach will take you to your fullest potential!
