What's your story?
I am 23 years old, from the small town of Harrison, where I enjoy outdoor activities like bike rides, kayaking/canoeing, and spending a day on the lake. Some fun facts about myself; I am a bit of a geek with Marvel topics, I am pretty good with a frisbee, and I enjoy getting to know new people.
What is your greatest fitness achievement?
My greatest fitness achievement would have to be learning habit mastery through fitness. I believe that when we can learn how to take out the bad habits and insert new, healthy habits into our lifestyles, we gain a skill that can be applied to any goal, fitness related or not.
What motivates you?
My motivation comes from needing to better myself at least 1% each day. I make long term goals that I plan to achieve and I go after them day after day. We can’t always crush our goals overnight, but any progress towards a goal makes a tremendous impact on what we can achieve.
How did you develop your program?
My program is based off of the successful and highly regarded National Academy of Sports Medicine’s (NASM) Optimum Performance Training model, which is an adaptable and progressive form of training used with the top athletes for over 20 years. There are 5 phases in which we are able to progress through based off the client's goals. No matter what a clients' age and goals are, this program can be applied for anyone.
What are your specialties?
I would say I am a jack of all trades when it comes to specializing in certain areas of training. Although, I’d have to say that weightlifting is my strong suit because I’ve loved it ever since I was 12 years old. I’ve learned a lot through experience as well as in my studies, and I’d say I have a good understanding of multiple types of training.
What's your training style?
My training style is one which focuses on my clients goals, so it gives purpose to working hard and giving maximum effort each day. It is a training style which I want my clients to enjoy doing, because training isn’t supposed to be miserable and there are so many fun and unique ways to get our physical activity in each day. My training style will also provide information to gain knowledge of the “why” when we are doing certain workouts or stretches, etc. in our training.
How do you set & track goals for your clients?
The fitness journey begins on the first training session, where we do multiple assessments in order to see where the client is at when it comes to posture, cardio, as well as goal-oriented assessments such as strength assessments, body fat measurements, or speed/agility assessments. We will talk about what the client wants to achieve in my program, and begin making goals that are SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely). We will track progress through this journey by doing the same assessments as we started with, and see the progress that was made.
Why will your services be worth it for clients?
With each of our maximum effort and dedication, my clients will find success with their goals.
